Ugly game... Raps looked disinterested for most of the time but at least we got to see Bargnani, Bosh & O'Neil on the floor at the same time...

what crock.
I just watched 2 guys, Bosh and O'Neal, play like 16 year old kids. They thought they could come in and dominate like Orlando did, came in, found out that these guys could play, and instead of bearing down and playing good team ball, tried to force it on every possesion. Bosh was embarassing. O'Neal was uncoordinated, has been, and will be. It was very VERY difficult to watch. Bosh looked like the bad guy in a John Hughes movie.... come in, cocky as hell, get shown up by the underdog who's playing honest ball, and instead of giving the guy respect, acting like the big, spoiled Pro super jock.
hOPE Our "star" learned something from this.
Youtube bitch.

The fourth quater was the quarter that TO came to play. They started playing some defense and offence

Tems has been focusing to much on defense for my liking.
Can tell they are obviously trying to double on perimeter and use new rotations. They need to start working on offense to get the guys to gel on that end of court as well. Everyones shots are hurried and flat, disgusting.

Problem is we're not taking ANY opponent seriously right now. I think we have one too many nice guys on this team, which is great for a single A rep team, but we're not hustling, doing anything.
And before someone says this is only preseason, I say screw it, if your a competitor you want to win all your games. Playing like we have all preseason is the shortcut to developing bad habits.
And if I see one more youtube video of Bosh, or one he made, I'm done with him. It just shows to me that he's become complacent then and not wanting to become the "superstar" that he could be.

Next year the Raps will trade Bosh for Wade cause Bargs will be a bigger talent.
Jose, Wade, Moon/Kaps, Bargs, JO
I called it hear first, wait and see.

I don't see us dealing big for small ever.
I'm just tired of seeing him dog it on some nights. I know he's a very good player, but I've always hated complacency and I'm starting to see it. As I've always said, the great ones are gym rats and you never hear a peep out of them. With Bosh, he's either making a damn youtube video or doing something to increase his image. Great, fine, but when you provide performances as you have this preseason (where's that defensive intensity?) and last post-season (where did he go?) you begin to wonder.

hold on. Yeah the youtubes are annoying. Yeah his image-hyping is getting tired.
but let's rewind to the olympics where Bosh was indeed that team's work horse who did most of the dirty work - and succeeded in doing so.
i don't like seeing players slacking, but at the same time - i refuse to get overly pissed off by pre-season games. Maybe the critics (snooch) should wait until the games count before we start throwing out insane trade proposals?

Cant disagree with you, but I think some of this falls squarly onto the fact that the team is indeed trying to instill some new things. Defensively it seems that the big men are constantly trying to trap out between 3pt line and half court, when it doesnt happen it makes for a very difficult rotation for the rest of the players and it leaves the team without a big under the basket. Everyone around the team also said that number 1 focus in camp has been defense, practicing boxouts, new defensive sets etc, and the preseason games have been an extension of that.(at times defense over last 2 games has been pretty good) Offensively the team has rolled with the bench more often than not, which I also hate, not giving time for JO and Bosh as well as Jose to figure each other out. It is going to take some time to adapt this whole high low pick and roll hybrid Sam been wanting them to play. Neither Bosh or JO has ever played with someone like the other and that is going to take time to gel. Only person on offense I have no worries about is Jose, he has played, for years, with a good center and power forward on the same team.

That was Bosh diving on the floor for a loose ball last week right? It never fails to amaze me how worked up people can get over a pre-season game. Once they started to go with a fairly normal rotation, they did fine.
It's the bench guys that need to show the intensity right now, and that is what disappoints me, aside from Bargs. Hassan blows so far. Even Humps who is bringing the energy, is still biting on every fucking pump fake. Man - get that worked out.
Meanwhile I really hope that Parker at least starts the season coming off the bench. If you want to place any kind of blame for the poor start last night, it should fall with Parker on both ends of the floor.

I think Parker is starting to show his age right now personally. The bench is atrocious I agree on that point.
And I get worked up over this one, when you compare the intensity that Dwight showed against this same team not too long ago. We come out lackadaisical and think we deserve the win.
