From last night.
Solomon is ok, but he is playing sared, and it kills him on offence, he zigs when he should be zagging, see's paaes and hesitates out of fear. He is not ready for the speed of the NBA, he isn't adjusted. Seeing as it's the 5th game of pre-season, I hardly think it's time to send him to Siberia though, the guy is an NBA player, he just needs a few months to get re-booted and upgraded to the new O/S he needs to play in this new environment.
Bargnani is BIG. And Fast. He also gets absolutely ZERO respect from the officials. I always suspected it, but I now know it. We had 8th row Platnums last night and I got to really see the game the way I would like. Bargnani getts screwed badly on so many calls it isn't funny. Oddly, he rarely complains or makes the ref look bad, so I'm not sure what gives. Aside from that, he is jumping out on the Pick and roll very nicely, and he is getting back into position, the ret of the stiffs still ain't rotating properly, but it was good in spurts. Kid can shoot, and really, once he realizes that not one guy out there can guard him, he's gonna be a nightmare.
Bosh is a chump. His hands aren't there yet, even though he played all summer, he's bobbling everything, forcing his moves. Tells me he shut er down after the olympics, physically and mentally. He'll be there once it starts though, so I give him a pass.
Parker is ok.
Kapono is where it gets ugly. I know now why he doesn't start. He's not fast enough to play inm the NBA. And it shows on defence. He cannot guard his guy without taking his eyes off the ball, he just can't, he has to keep all his attention on his guy just to keep up. On Offence, unless he's spotted up, he's not thqat affective, or he wasn't last night. His feet are not getting set at all, I would imagie a lot of that is the style of camp they are running.
Moon is ok.
Over all, I think they will keep hammering defence in practice, but I would be very surprised if Sam didn't start really amping up the offence in practice too. These guys are nt ready to shoot, not getting set to shoot, and they ain't shooting well.

Game was an embarrassment for the Raps... for the most time Minni looked like a high school team and they still won... Raps have to improve much more if they are to make post season.

Bosh is in cruise. Sam said last year that he doesn't want him to be like Garnett. He wants Bosh to put it into gear when the season starts and otherwise just play at a level that will keep him from getting injured for now. You can tell that they want to get him and Jermaine playing somewhat all-out on D for a good quarter at this point. And that's been about the only thing worth watching, besides Bargnani's new look.
