Take it with a grain of salt, but according to Yahoo's team report rumour has it that there will be no AB experiment at SF. He'll be fixed in to either the centre or power forward spots.
Player Notes:
• C Andrea Bargnani, the former No. 1 overall pick who struggled in his sophomore season after a solid rookie campaign, returned to camp 12 pounds heavier (up to about 262 on his 7-foot frame) and with a defined role. After splitting time between starting and coming off the bench, the 22-year-old will be used exclusively as a backup center and power forward this season.
• C Nathan Jawai, a second-round pick last June, was held out of the first week of training camp because of a “cardiac issue” that was picked up in routine pre-camp testing. After he sees another specialist for a second opinion, it’s expected he could return to work in the middle of the preseason.
• F-C Kris Humphries, an often frustrating 23-year-old who shows promise but infuriates coaches by trying to do too much offensively, was one of the big surprises of training camp. Coach Sam Mitchell said it’s earned the 6-10 big man some “leeway” with his play. “We’re going to live with some ‘Humpisms,’ but that’s just Hump. That’s who he is, and the thing you realize about him is he’s just a really good young man,” said Mitchell.
