Everyone have their fill of turkey so far this weekend? Can you believe that I won't have any at all? My parents are vacationing in Cali while my wife's family is making lamb instead of turkey for us this evening. Thanksgiving isn't thanksgiving without turkey.

We ate yesterday...
Turkey, stuffing, mash potatoes, squash, peas, corn, brussle sprouts, cranberry sauce, cabbage rolls, perogies with fried onions and bacon...pumpkin pie ice cream cake.
I'm still full.

Fresh free-range turkey. Mmmmm. I feasted yesterday.
Now there hasn't been a lot to be thankful for lately. I've lost a shitload of money, and I worry about how a global meltdown might play out beyond simple economic losses. And you know I'd be more than capable of just not even thinking about any of that if there was RF. I mean how depressing is that?
But I have to say that I'm still happy to be able to tell all of you guys, and Doc in particular of course, how thankful I am to have had the chance to partake in our daily shenanigans. I know that makes it sound like it's all over, but I refuse to believe that. I just want to take advantage of the theme for the day, and this little online "pause" here to make sure my thankfulness can be registered fully. Actually I can't express it fully, and I ought to express it everyday, and not just on thanksgiving, or when the site goes down. Hows about you all consider this post as an infinite number of thanks that can be carried forward for every day that RF continues onward once it gets back up and running? I suspect I'm not at all alone in those sorts of sentiments.

I think for alot of us, this is just a global form of male bonding, an online bar if you will. Take that medium away from us and it really hurts. It doesn't matter the location, but just talking ball with oneanother is important enough. It's just that first moment when we lose our bar and all the friends we've made, we don't know where they've gone. It's almost like Cheers.
