Too bad he wasn't as good as manager as he is a broadcaster.
I've really enjoyed his work watching the ALDS and ALCS on TBS.

What your trying to say that he got fired, right?

Yeah, he played for the Jays in the later part of his career, became a broadcaster for them and then eventually became their manager.

He wasn't that bad of a manager, he made some mistakes, but he also improved when he did and I think he was just starting to turn the corner. JP gave him a rough deal while he was here.
I actually really enjoyed when he and Dan Shulman called games for the Jays on the TSN broadcasts. Rod Black and Darrin Fletcher are terrible. Pat Tabler isn't that bad.

Greg Zaun is actually pretty good in the Sportsnet Studio covering the playoffs.
It must be a catcher thing.

Of course it is a catcher thing. They have to communicate with the pitcher and manager on the status of the game. They have to have people skills to get the best out of the team.
That translates into someone that can speak their thoughts.
PS. Buck and Dan were gold back in the day.

Buck was always a good broadcaster - it's a shame it couldn't work out on the mangerial side.
Buck and Dan WERE indeed gold back in the day - it's a treat to hear them when they work together for ESPN. Pat Tabler isn't bad either for TSN. One guy they shouldn't allow on the Jays' broadcasts is Jesse Barfield - he's awful.

lol
Jesse what do you think about the outcome of the game.
Uh...it's like I said - if the Jays swing the bats well they're going to win, but if the Sox pitching is on and they swing the bats well they're tough to beat.
