If these European tycoons can do it, why not? They're already doing it in soccer, the rush for NBA players by the clubs overseas is going to be huge within the next few years. Doesn't Josh Childress play for Olympiacos too?

..And Kobe would be silly not to take it - that's an amazing offer. You play half the games that you would in an NBA season, a private villa, boat, service staff, all taxes paid for.. come on, that's huge... and Kobe could tap all the chubby Greek ass he could get.

I'm just wondering. With all this money being thrown around, is it really a sound investment considering the global economic situations?
I remember reading that an owner of one of the premiership teams in the UK, lost 12 billion dollars. Granted his wealth went from 36 billion to 24 billion, but still that's a significant loss.
That being said, I agree with hoops, Kobe would be silly not to take that offer. I don't think he will though, primarily because he hasn't won a championship on his own yet.

Are you sure it's 20 million euros per season? Im pretty sure, the Italian site says just that, it is a bit of an assumtion that it is in fact Euros.

Even if it were 20 mil per season, it's still a better deal than in the NBA.
